The Minnesota State College Southeast’s Band Instrument Repair program in Red Wing covers the fundamentals of repairing woodwind and brass instruments. This established a foundation that lead to developing specialty skills and pursuing other certifications.

Our technician has completed an intensive training course from Muramatsu Flutes. The Musical Instrument Repair Workshop is Alberta's first Muramatsu certified repair business. We use genuine Muramatsu repair parts, and have completed training from Muramatsu America Service Technicians. A Muramatsu certification is one of the pinnacle certifications for flute repair.

Our technician has completed an intensive training course from Straubinger flutes. This training covers the specific techniques and procedures required to install Straubinger pads, which are designed for handmade flutes. The Straubinger certification is known for being an indicator of high quality repair.

Our technician has completed several intensive training programs from Sax ProShop in North Carolina. The Sax ProShop 5 day immersive program (formally known as the Uberhaul Course), the Music Medic modifications course, and key-fitting course. He trained under Ryan Walker for engraving and other specialty saxophone repair processes.
